Three Longhorns named to CoSIDA Academic All-America Men’s At-Large teams

Jake Foster, Drew Kibler and Cole Hammer claim Academic All-America honors.
AUSTIN, Texas — Three University of Texas student-athletes have been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America Team for men's at-large sports, the organization announced Tuesday. Swimming and Diving's Jake Foster was tabbed to the First Team, Swimming and Diving's Drew Kibler was selected to the Second Team and Golf's Cole Hammer was picked to the Third Team.
The At-Large division includes student-athletes from the following men's sports: golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming and diving, tennis, volleyball, water polo and wrestling.
Junior Jake Foster carries a 4.0 grade point average in biology. A member of the 2021 NCAA Championship team and 2022 NCAA runner-up team, he is a six-time All-American and three-time honorable mention All-American. Foster is the 2022 Big 12 Men's Swimming and Diving Scholar-Athlete of the Year and a two-time Academic All-Big 12 First Team selection.
Senior Drew Kibler graduated this May with a 3.60 GPA in psychology. A member of the 2020 U.S. Olympic Team on the 4x200 free relay, he is a four-time NCAA champion and 21-time All-American. Kibler was a member of the 2021 NCAA Championship team and the 2019 and 2022 NCAA runner-up teams. He is a two-time Big 12 Men's Swimmer of the Year (2021 and 2022) and a 13-time Big 12 champion.
Senior Cole Hammer graduated this May with a 3.65 GPA in corporate communication. A three-time All-American, he was one of five finalists for the 2022 Byron Nelson award, honoring the nation's top scholar athlete in men's golf. Hammer helped lead the Longhorns to the 2022 NCAA team title with a 3-2 victory over Arizona State in the championship match on June 1.
