Women’s Swim & Dive takes down Houston, 193-103

Texas wins 14 of 16 events in win over the Cougars.
AUSTIN, Texas — Texas Women's Swimming and Diving won 14 of 16 events on its way to a 193-103 victory on Friday against Houston.
Emma Sticklen won both the 200-yard butterfly and the 200-yard IM. Sticklen finished in a time of 1:56.93 in the butterfly and 2:02.13 in the IM.
Hailey Hernandez captured the 1-meter dive with 347.48 points, while teammates Bridget O'Neil (334.20) and Jordan Skilken (323.40) finished in second and third. Hernandez, O'Neil and Skilken also finished one-two-three in the 3-meter competition, as Hernandez took the top spot with 401.33 points.
Texas scored 15 points in the 200-yard medley relay with the top team of Berit Berglund, Anna Elendt, Emma Sticklen and Grace Cooper finishing in 1:37.69.
The Longhorns' quartet of Emma Davidson, Ava Longi, Angie Coe and Emma Kern won the 400-yard freestyle relay in a time of 3:18.99.
Coe and Davidson finished first and second in the 200-yard freestyle. Coe finished in a time of 1:47.85 and Davidson came in at 1:49.23. Brooke Adams took the 100-yard freestyle in 52.10.
Abby Pfeifer won the 1,000-yard freestyle in a time of 10:03.99, over nine seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.
Berit Berglung captured the 100-yard backstroke in 53.55 and Emma Kern took the 200-yard backstroke in 1:57.77. Anna Elendt won the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:09.57.
