No. 7 Men's Swim & Dive sweeps relays at Texas Invitational

Modglin leads team as part of both relays.
AUSTIN, Texas – The No. 7 Texas Men's Swim and Dive team swept the opening two events of the 2023 Texas Invitational at the Texas Swimming Center on Wednesday night.
Freshman Will Modglin led the way taking part in both relays on the opening night. The men took down No. 8 Stanford, No. 16 USC, No. 22 Wisconsin and UNLV in both the 200 medley relay and the 800 free relay.
Texas won the 200 medley after Modglin, Will Scholtz, Cole Crane and Camden Taylor swam an NCAA-B standard time of 1:24.22.
The Longhorns of Nate Germonprez, Coby Carrozza, Modglin and Luke Hobson closed out the night winning the 800 free relay with a NCAA-A standard time of 6:11.66. The time is also the 16th-fastest time in UT history.
The action will continue on Thursday morning at 10 a.m. in the prelims with the finals scheduled for 6 p.m.
