No. 2 Women's Swim & Dive breaks 200 free relay program record

Grace Cooper breaks 50 free program record in 200 free relay opening leg.
AUSTIN, Texas – The No. 2 Texas women's swim and dive team broke the five-yard 200 free relay program record on night three of the Texas Invitational.
Led by Grace Cooper's 50 free program record time of 21.66, the Longhorns broke the relay record with a time of 1:26.31. Cooper was joined by Ava Longi, Emma Sticklen and Kelly Pash to break the previous record set at the Texas Invitational in 2018. Cooper previously tied the 50 free record on Thursday night in the prelims at 21.73.

The women opened the night with five competing in the 100 fly championships. Sticklen won with her time of 50.36, hitting the automatic NCAA qualifying time just in front of Pash who finished second at 50.37, also meeting the A-standard. Olivia Bray finished in third with an A-standard time of 50.47, while Longi was fourth in 51.39. Angie Coe rounded out the Texas competitors finishing eighth with her time of 52.47. All five times were season best times for the Longhorns.
Out of the 400 IM consolation final, freshman Campbell Stoll broke into the Texas All-Time performer list at No. 8 with her time of 4:10.97.
Freshman Erin Gemmell later finished as the runner-up in the 200 free with her time of 1:43.09 and moved up to No. 3 on the Texas All-Time Performer list. The time also ranks as the 10th-fastest time in program history.
Senior Anna Elendt added a second-place finish in the 100 breast with a NCAA-A standard time of 57.75, while Channing Hanley finished fourth at 59.64.
Freshman Berit Berglund took home first in the 100 back with her time of 50.85. Fellow freshman Emma Kern finished fifth in 52.44 and Meghan DiMartile was seventh at 53.55.
