Julien Alfred of the No. 1 Women's Track and Field team was named the USTFCCCA Co-National Athlete of the Week for the second time this season.
AUSTIN, Texas – Julien Alfred of the No. 1 Women's Track and Field team was named the USTFCCCA Co-National Athlete of the Week for the second time this season.
Breaking the 60m collegiate record is one thing, but to break your own twice in one season is another. And that's what Alfred has done this year.

The eight-time All-American shaved off .02 seconds off her previous collegiate record over the weekend and set the new record to 7.00 seconds. The now holds the five fastest 60m times in collegiate history (7.00, 7.02, 7.04, 7.05, 7.05).
This is the fourth National Athlete of the Week awarded to the Longhorns this indoor season with Kennedy Simon and Brian Herron collecting the awards on December 6 and Alfred earning her first on Jan. 24.
The Longhorns are split this weekend with the distance squads returning to Boston for the Valentine Invitational while the rest of the squad heads to Clemson, S.C., for the Tiger Paw Invite.
