Rowing places 32 on 2023 Academic All-Big 12 Teams

The Longhorns had 30 first-team selections and two second team honorees.
IRVING, Texas – Texas Rowing had 32 student-athletes earn spots on the 2023 Academic All-Big 12 teams, the conference office announced on Monday.
A total of 30 Longhorns were named to the first team, highlighted by graduate student Kate Knifton, senior Rachel Rane and junior Faith Banach earning 4.0 grade point averages, while two student-athletes collected second-team honors.
First team members have maintained a 3.20 GPA or higher, while the second team honorees hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA.
To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 20 percent of their team's scheduled contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.
