MEET NOTES
- On Friday, Texas will square off with NC State in dual meet action for the second-straight year and for the first time in Raleigh since 2017. Last year in Austin, the Longhorns and Wolfpack competed in a pair of meets with the Longhorns registering a weekend sweep. At the 2023 NCAA Championships, NC State placed fifth with 373.5 points, just 10.5 points behind third-place Texas, with the Pack collecting a trio of victories in the 1650 freestyle, 200 butterfly and an NCAA, meet and U.S. Open record performance in the 200 medley relay of 1:20.67.
- The Longhorns travel to Durham on Saturday to face Duke for the first-ever dual meet between the two programs.
- Legendary Texas head coach Eddie Reese enters the weekend with an all-time dual meet mark of 322-87 with a 292-76 record at Texas.
- Texas will compete in dual meet action for the first time since Nov. 3, when the Longhorns split decisions against No. 13 Texas A&M and No. 23 Georgia Tech in College Station, falling to the Aggies, 143-119, and topping the Yellowjackets, 157.5-104.5.

Team Rankings
The Longhorns are ranked ninth in the latest College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) Division I poll (January 24). The top 10 includes Arizona State (349), California (337), NC State (309), Florida (307), Stanford (293), Indiana (292), Georgia (264), Texas A&M (245), TEXAS (237) and Auburn (223).
Storied Program
Texas placed third at the 2023 NCAA Championships and has claimed 15 NCAA Championships, finished runner-up 13 times and has a total of 36 top-3 finishes at the NCAA Championship meet. UT earned NCAA team titles in 1981, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1996, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2010, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2021.
Conference Dominance
The Longhorns have won all 26 Big 12 Conference titles and have claimed 44 consecutive crowns. This current streak dates to the 1980 Southwest Conference championship. Texas has earned a total of 65 conference titles (38 Southwest Conference, 27 Big 12 Conference).
Head Coach Eddie Reese
Eddie Reese is in his 46th season at the helm of the Texas program. A three-time U.S. Men's Olympic Team head coach (1992, 2004, 2008), Reese is the winningest coach in the sport's history with 15 NCAA titles. He is the only collegiate swimming coach to win an NCAA team title in five separate decades.
