Women’s Tennis preview: NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships

Texas freshman Ariana Anazagasty-Pursoo will begin singles play on November 19.
Waco, Texas – Texas Women's Tennis freshman Ariana Anazagasty-Pursoo will begin play in the 2024-25 NCAA Women's Tennis Singles and Doubles Championships on Tuesday in Waco, Texas. This will be the first of two years where the championships will be played in the fall after having traditionally been played in May following the team championships.
Anazagasty-Pursoo will face Carson Tanguilig of North Carolina at 9 a.m. CT in the singles round of 64. Freshman Ashton Bowers also qualified for the tournament in singles, but was forced to withdraw due to injury.
The NCAA singles and doubles competition will be conducted November 19-24 at the Hurd Tennis Center in Waco, Texas. All doubles matches will be the best-of-three sets with 10-point superbreakers played in lieu of a third set.
