Abmas moved up to No. 8 on the NCAA Division I men's all-time scoring list (3,073 points) and climbed to No. 4 on the NCAA Division I men's all-time career three-pointers made chart (505).

Graduate forward Kadin Shedrick tallied 14 points (5-8 FG, 4-6 FT) in 27 minutes, and junior guard Tyrese Hunter registered 12 points, three assists and three steals in 36 minutes.
Graduate forward Dylan Disu, who was a game-time decision due to a stomach virus, was limited to just 10:06 of game action before sustaining a left knee sprain at the 10:50 mark of the second half and Texas holding a 68-62 lead. Disu managed to record a team-best plus-minus total of plus-19 during his time on the court.
Texas scored the game's first six points and raced out to a 13-3 advantage following an Abmas layup in transition at the 16:48 mark. Baylor trimmed the margin to 24-16 after a pair of free throws by Ja'kobe Walter with 12:19 left, before Abmas knocked down back-to-back three-pointers to give the Longhorns a 30-16 cushion at the 11:39 mark.
Texas took a 36-22 lead after another Abmas layup in transition with 7:36 remaining, but Jalen Bridges hit consecutive three-pointers to cut the gap to 36-28 at the 6:47 mark. The margin stayed at eight points or above until Rayj Dennis made a pair of free throws to trim the deficit to 47-40 with 37 seconds left. A Brock Cunningham free throw gave the Longhorns a 48-40 advantage at the half. Texas converted 56.7-percent (17-30) from the floor, including a 7-of-13 (.538) mark from three-point range, and 7-of-8 free throws in the opening 20 minutes.
An Abmas three-pointer increased UT's lead to 55-42 at the 18:24 mark, but Baylor scored five straight points to cut the gap to 55-47 following a Bridges three-pointer with 17:45 remaining. Another Abmas jumper gave the Longhorns a 68-57 advantage at the 13:15 mark, before the Bears went on an 11-0 run over the next five-plus minutes to even the score at 68-68 after a pair of Walter free throws with 7:59 left.
A Dillon Mitchell free throw provided Texas with a 70-69 advantage at the 7:07 mark, but Baylor answered with 9-0 spurt to take a 78-70 cushion following a Dennis jumper with 5:20 remaining. The Longhorns trimmed the margin to 80-75 after an Abmas jumper at the 3:34 mark, but that would be as close as Texas would get the rest of the way. During the second half, the Bears hit 21-of-27 free throws while the Longhorns went 9-of-13 from the free throw line.
Texas concludes the regular season when it hosts Oklahoma on Saturday, March 9. Tip is set for 1 p.m. Central at Moody Center, and the game will be televised nationally by ESPN.
