Rowing’s Legenzowski, Jensen named Academic All-District

AUSTIN, Texas – Texas rowing's Carly Legenzowski and Anna Jensen were named members of the 2023-24 Academic All-District Women's At-Large Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, the organization announced. The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance both athletically and academically.
A senior who majored in Psychology, Legenzowski secured her first career CRCA All-America selection after coxing the First Varsity Eight to victory at the NCAA Championship on June 2, winning with a time of 6:09.920. She also coxed the First Eight to a win at the Big 12 Conference Championship.
Jensen, a senior who majored in Sport Management, wrapped up a sensational Longhorn career after being named the CRCA's Division I Athlete of the Year on June 14. A three-time CRCA First Team All-American, a three-time national champion and the 2024 Big 12 Rower of the Year, Jensen was instrumental in Texas winning its third NCAA Championship in 2024 – its third national crown over a four-year stretch.
Legenzowki and Jensen helped Texas' I Eight cruise to an unbeaten season in which UT won every race in 2024.
Academic All-District honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. Legenzowski and Jensen have been selected as CSC Academic All-America finalists and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First, second and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced July 16.
