Women’s Basketball’s Lee named SEC Freshman of the Week

Lee averaged 15 points per game in wins over Oklahoma and Arkansas.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — University of Texas women's basketball freshman Jordan Lee was named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week, the league announced today.
Lee connected on 4-of-5 from 3-point range and scored 17 points to help Texas to a win on the road against No. 9 Oklahoma.
For the week Lee made eight 3-pointers and shot 8-of-12 (66.7) from beyond the 3-point arc. For the season Lee is shooting 51.2 percent from 3-point range. In the Texas win against Arkansas Lee connected on 4-of-7 from three.
Lee has scored in double figures in five games this season and over her last five games Lee is shooting 13-of-20 (65 percent) from 3-point range.
Lee is the second Texas freshman to earn SEC Freshman of the Week honors. Justice Carlton has been named SEC Freshman of the Week twice this season.
Lee and the Longhorns host No. 18 Alabama on Thursday, Jan. 9 at 7:00 p.m. CT at Moody Center.
