Trio from Men’s Basketball’s named to CSC Academic All-District Team

Kaluma, Pope and Shedrick recognized for combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
AUSTIN, Texas — University of Texas senior forward Arthur Kaluma, junior guard Jordan Pope and graduate forward Kadin Shedrick have been named to the 2024-25 Academic All-District Men's Basketball team by College Sports Communicators, the organization announced this week. The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
Kaluma saw action in 33 games (32 starts) this season for the Longhorns and led the team and ranked seventh in the SEC in rebounding (7.5 rpg), topped the squad in double-doubles (8) and ranked second in scoring (12.3 ppg), blocks (30) and minutes (29.3 mpg), tied for second in steals (31) and tied for third in assists (60). A Physical Culture & Sports major, he reached double figures in scoring in 25 games this season, including a pair of 20-point performances and one 30-point effort, double digits in rebounds 10 times and posted eight double-doubles.
Pope played in all 35 games (32 starts) this year and led the team in steals (35) and ranked third in scoring (11.0 ppg), tied for third in assists (60) and fifth in minutes (25.4 mpg). A Communications & Leadership major, he reached double figures in scoring in 17 games this season, including three-point performances and a career-best 42-point effort in the home win against New Orleans (Dec. 19).
The only player on the Texas roster to start all 35 games this season, Shedrick led the team and ranked fourth in the SEC in blocked shots (58, 1.66 bpg) and ranked second on the squad in rebounding (6.1 rpg), fourth in minutes (26.5 mpg) and fifth in scoring (8.8 ppg). He earned his BS in Commerce from the University of Virginia in Spring 2023 and is pursuing his master's degree in Strategic Communication at Texas. He reached double figures in scoring in 16 games this year, double digits in rebounds three times and posted two double-doubles this season.
