Men’s Basketball to host Virginia in 2025 ACC/SEC Challenge

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Southeastern and Atlantic Coast Conferences in conjunction with ESPN announced the matchups and dates for the 2025 ACC/SEC Challenge on Thursday afternoon. Texas will host Virginia on Wednesday, Dec. 3 in Moody Center.

Game times and television networks will be announced when available. Both the men's and women's ACC/SEC Basketball Challenges will be televised across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ACC Network and SEC Network. Due to television considerations, nine of the 16 games in this season's Challenge will be played on Tuesday, Dec. 2, while the other seven games will be played on Wednesday, Dec. 3.

This will mark the first meeting between Texas and Virginia in men's basketball. In last year's SEC/ACC Challenge, the Longhorns registered a 63-59 victory at NC State (Dec. 4, 2024).

This marks the third season of the SEC/ACC Challenge. The men's Challenge games are scheduled to take place on the first Tuesday and Wednesday after Thanksgiving through at least the 2027-28 season.
