Men's Basketball earns NABC Team Academic Excellence Award

Nine Longhorns claim spots on the NABC Honors Court by posting a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
AUSTIN, Texas — The University of Texas Men's Basketball team has earned a Team Academic Excellence Award from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), the organization announced Thursday. The awards recognize outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better for the 2024-25 season.
In order to earn a NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, institutions in the NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA must count the grade point averages of all men's basketball student-athletes who competed during the 2024-25 season.
In addition to the team honor, a total of nine Longhorns claimed spots on the NABC Honors Court. The Honors Court includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2024-25 season with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. The nine Texas players named to the NABC Honors Court are: Cole Bott, Preston Clark, Arthur Kaluma, Jayson Kent, Julian Larry, Tramon Mark, Jordan Pope, Kadin Shedrick and Chendall Weaver.
