Adam Cohen, Ulric Maligi and David Miller named to Silver Waves Media 100 Most Impactful High Major Coaches list.
AUSTIN, Texas — A trio of University of Texas Men's Basketball assistant coaches have been named to the seventh annual Silver Waves Media 100 Most Impactful High Major Coaches list, the entity announced Monday morning. Adam Cohen, Ulric Maligi and David Miller were each selected to this year's list.
Cohen is in his first season as Assistant Coach at Texas and his 18th year overall of collegiate coaching. During his collegiate coaching career, Cohen has helped five teams from four different conferences advance to the NCAA Tournament and two squads reach the postseason NIT. He has also helped develop 13 players who have seen game action in the NBA.
Maligi is in his first season in his second stint as Assistant Coach at Texas and his 19th year overall of collegiate coaching. During his collegiate coaching career, Maligi has helped six teams advance to the NCAA Tournament and three teams reach the postseason NIT while five squads have claimed conference championships. He has also coached and/or developed 17 players who have seen game action in the NBA.
Miller is in his first season as Assistant Coach at Texas and his 13th year overall of collegiate coaching. During his collegiate coaching career, Miller has helped four teams advance to the NCAA Tournament and two squads reach the postseason NIT. He has also helped develop 21 players who have seen game action in the NBA.
Texas (10-6, 1-2 SEC) returns to the court when it hosts No. 11/10 Vanderbilt on Wednesday, Jan. 14. Tip is set for 8 p.m. Central in Moody Center, and the contest will be televised nationally by ESPN2.
