Hook 'Em's Community Heroes – April 2026
05.01.2026 | Rowing, Longhorn Sports Properties / Learfield, Beach Volleyball
AUSTIN, Texas – Together with Truist, congratulations to April's Hook 'Em's Community Heroes: from Rowing, Bell Ebben, and from Beach Volleyball, Carys Patton.
Bell is looking to make youth sports accessible and inclusive so kids can develop personal and social skills.
"Sports give people the opportunity to grow in their confidence, leadership and teamwork skills, and should be available to everyone regardless of resources. Supporting youth sports helps foster positive environments where kids can stay active and feel a sense of belonging."
Carys is proud to support a cause that ensures survivors of abuse are protected, supported, and not isolated.
"No individual or family should have to live in fear or recover from abuse alone. Supporting this cause means helping create safer communities while ensuring survivors have the resources, protection, and support they need to rebuild their lives."
In recognition of their causes, Truist is proud to donate $500 each to organizations that provide support for youth sports and abuse support. For more information on Hook 'Em's Community Heroes, together with Truist, visit texaslonghorns.com/TruistCares
