Traditions: Hook 'Em
Hook ‘Em is the official costumed mascot of The University of Texas. He made his first public appearance in 1974, and currently can be found at home football and basketball games, as well as many other Texas Athletics events. He performs with the Texas Pom and Texas Cheer squad members during athletics events and other official University functions.
