The Spieth Lower 40 is a six-hole par-3 course built on 4-1/2 acres between the members' range and the first hole at the University of Texas Golf Club.
Jordan Spieth is a three-time majors champion who spent three semesters competing as a Longhorn. He was part of Texas' 2012 NCAA Championship team. His design contributions to the project include everything from the placement of the green complexes to elevations and contours.
Holes range from 80-125 yards and greens range from 2,800 to 4,000 square feet. The course has four different types of grasses. The greens are challenging and reward a good shot.
