Excellence Funds
An excellence fund is an endowment fund established for a sport or student-athlete service area. An excellence fund is a pool of endowed funds—donors who wish to see their financial gifts impact through the perpetuity of endowments, but wish to give less than $25,000, often give to excellence funds.
Excellence funds allow Texas Athletics the flexibility to determine and direct funds to the greatest areas of need. Distributions of excellence funds go directly towards the specified sport or program; donors can also make annual contributions to either sport-specific or student-athlete service areas such as Sports Performance, Student Services and Performance Nutrition.
