Program Endowments
A program endowment supports a specific sport or a student-athlete service area, enabling Texas Athletics to create future sustainability within athletics operations. Program endowments require a minimum $25,000 investment and can be named in your honor. Pledges may be extended over five-year terms.
Student-Athlete Health and Welfare
The Texas Athletics Health and Welfare team, in addition to the Student Services staff, fosters the emotional and physical well-being of all student-athletes. Through their daily interaction, assistance and care, these staff members have an immediate, consistent and often lasting impact on student-athletes.

Performance Nutrition: Fuel to Win
The Performance Nutrition team fuels student-athletes to win in sport and in life by providing world-class nutrition expertise; the desired results are improved performance, reduced injury and optimal long-term health. Two full-time sports dieticians oversee, source and fully stock “fuel stations,” which provide student-athletes easy access to whole foods and thoughtful nutrition before and after workouts. The Texas Athletics Nutrition Center, which opened in September 2015, provides a state-of-the-art “learning lab” where staff nutritionists teach student-athletes the life skills to make educated, healthy food choices.
Athletic Performance: Champions Train Here
Athletic performance strength and conditioning coaches are dedicated to developing student-athletes into championship teams through a holistic approach involving training, technology, recovery, mentality and support. Physical qualities like speed, agility, power and strength are emphasized as much as emotional tools like toughness, accountability and teamwork.
Sports Medicine: Pre-eminent Healthcare
Our staff of medical experts provides services and resources that ensure health and safety, enabling faster recovery rates and quality outcomes for student-athletes. In addition, the staff leverages the St. David's Healthcare partnership concierge services to provide the best of care for student-athletes. Sports Medicine also works closely with Student Services to provide an extensive mental health care program, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and performance consultants.
Student Support Services
The Student Services staff is committed to each student-athlete's academic excellence, even as they perform at an athletically elite level. A dedicated team of academic counselors, mentors and tutors assists the student-athlete's academic path. One of the essential functions of the student services staff is to facilitate study hall -- a study skills program that aids student-athletes' acclimation to the university's academic demands. During study hall sessions, student-athletes work with academic mentors to review notes and coursework, set short- and long-term goals and prepare for upcoming assignments.Sport Operations
Each of our 20 sports programs has an operational staff member who focuses on day-to-day logistical organization to maintain elite performance. Operational functions touch all areas of preparation and execution, including:

- Equipment: More than shoes and shin guards, teams can access the best tools and gear for training and practice.
- Recruiting software: Technology to track and manage the best amateur talent in the nation and in fact the world.
- Coaches clinics and membership fees: Professional development to ensure coaches stay on the cutting edge with the best techniques. Also provide networking opportunities to grow Texas' reputation among all levels of competition.
