How do I use my Big Ticket to Get Into Football Games?
Football Student Claim Process for 2026
- Big Ticket holders WITH football access are be able to claim a mobile student football ticket in advance of each home game while student tickets remain in the student seating section.
- Claiming a mobile student ticket guarantees entry on gameday, and general admission seating will still be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Longhorn Foundation student members will have priority access to claim student tickets on home game weeks beginning on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. Central prior to all Big Ticket Holders on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. Central.
- On gameday, make sure your mobile ticket is downloaded to your phone’s digital wallet before you head to the stadium, and bring your physical UT student ID (mobile IDs do not work) to the game.
Where Do I Enter and Sit?
- Big Ticket holders with general admission lower level student tickets must enter the stadium at Gate 25 on a first-come, first-served basis beginning three hours prior to kickoff.
- Gate 25, located on the northeast corner of the stadium, is the only gate that Big Ticket holders with general admission lower level tickets may enter.
- Please note that there is NOT a separate early access line for Longhorn Foundation student members; all Big Ticket holders with general admission lower level tickets will enter the same queue.
- Your mobile ticket will be scanned. You will receive one wristband upon entry, head inside and cheer on the Horns!
Football Ticket Violations & Consequences
- All football student tickets are non-transferable and cannot be resold.
- Ticket must be used by the UT student with a matching physical UT student ID.
- Any Big Ticket holder who claims a football student ticket but does not scan into the game will be issued a warning for lack of ticket usage.
- To avoid a potential warning for a lack of use of ticket, students can return their claimed student ticket up to three hours prior to kick-off using their Texas Athletics ticket account.
- Students who do not use claimed tickets twice in a season will have their ability to claim tickets for all remaining home football games revoked, without refund. If football privileges are revoked Big Ticket Holders will still be able to attend non-football events.
- Please read the Rules, Regulations, & Revocation Policy dropdown for more info
Wristband Policy
- Students who have purchased the Big Ticket with Football AND have successfully claimed a student ticket to a regular season home football game will receive a wristband from Texas Athletics event staff personnel when they enter Gate 25. This wristband must be put on immediately upon entry.
- It is the student’s responsibility to ensure they leave the gate with their wristband on before proceeding to the stands. This wristband will allow each student access to the general admission student section bleachers (Sections 16-27). Wristbands will not be given out to any UT students who has not scanned in at Gate 25 and replacement wristbands will not be distributed.
Wristband Violation Policy
- Any student caught violating the use of wristbands including but not limited to repurposing wristbands to gain access for themselves or others into the student section and/or found in possession of more than one wristband will be in violation of the Big Ticket Policy and will lose their Big Ticket with Football privileges for the remainder of the academic year.

Apple Binding
Apple Binding
All Big Ticket holders with Apple devices will have their Texas Longhorns ticket accounts bound to their Apple ID.
Each student account is digitally bound to the first Apple device used where the first Football game ticket is downloaded to the Apple Wallet. To successfully download your football ticket and scan into a home Football game, you must use the same device the student account is originally bound to.
- If your account was bound to a different device that isn't registered to your Apple ID, you will need to use that specific device to scan your ticket for entry.
- If your student account is bound to a device you do not have access to use, you should not claim a ticket.
- If your student ticket is not scanned due to being bound to a different device — or if it is bound to a device that does not belong to you — you will receive a strike.
Binding your Big Ticket to a device that is not your own is a violation of the Big Ticket policy and may result in further disciplinary action or loss of Big Ticket privileges.
