Returns for his fourth season with the UT program … has played in 10 career games … joined the team as a preferred walk-on during Fall 2012 individual workouts … redshirted during the 2012-13 season … six-time Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll selection.
As a Sophomore in 2014-15:
Saw action in five games and totaled 13 minutes of playing time … posted two rebounds in two minutes against North Dakota State (Nov. 14) … recorded two points (1-of-2 FG) and two rebounds in a season-high five minutes against Lipscomb (Dec. 16) … earned a spot on the Fall 2014 and Spring 2015 Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor rolls (minimum 3.0 GPA).
As a Redshirt Freshman IN 2013-14:
Saw action in five games and totaled 14 minutes of playing time … earned the team’s Spirit Award at the annual end-of-the-year banquet … posted three points and four rebounds in three minutes during his first collegiate action against Houston Baptist (Nov. 18) … played two minutes against Texas State (Dec. 14) … got one minute of playing time against Rice (Dec. 30) … scored two points, dished out two assists and had one rebound in a career-high eight minutes against TCU (March 5) … earned a spot on the Fall 2013 and Spring 2014 Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Rolls (minimum 3.0 GPA) … also earned a place on the Fall 2012 and Spring 2013 Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Rolls during his true freshman season.
High School:
Langham Creek High School in Houston, Texas (head coach Charles Ament) … helped his high school team to a 48-20 combined record in his two years as a letterwinner … averaged 11.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game as a senior while helping Langham Creek to a school single-season record 27 wins and the school’s first District 17-5A championship in 24 years … named the District 17-5A Defensive Player of the Year as a senior … TABC (Texas Association of Basketball Coaches) Class 5A All-Region III selection in his senior year … also earned a spot on the TABC 5A Academic All-State squad as a senior … averaged 4.1 points and 3.5 rebounds per game as a junior … two-time Academic All-District 17-5A choice (as a junior and senior).
