As a Junior in 2014-15:
Played in all 34 games (two starts) … shared the team’s Outstanding Defensive Player honor with Demarcus Holland … ranked third on the team in blocks (47) while playing just 10.6 minutes per contest … blocked at least three shots in six games on the year … recorded six points (2-of-3 FG) and four rebounds in 17 minutes at No. 1/1 Kentucky (Dec. 5) … recorded a season-high seven rebounds in 13 minutes at TCU (Jan. 19) … tied his season high with four blocks and added four points and four boards in 20 minutes at Kansas State (Feb. 7) … his solid defense on Thomas Gipson (0-of-7 FG) forced a Gipson miss in the final 10 seconds, and Ibeh then grabbed the defensive rebound (forced a jump ball, possession arrow to Texas) to seal the victory … tied his season high with four blocks and added five rebounds in 17 minutes at No. 8/9 Kansas (Feb. 28) … recorded three blocks and three boards in 20 minutes against No. 14/16 Baylor (March 2) … had a game-saving rejection at the end of regulation in Baylor’s final possession … earned a spot on the Fall 2014 Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll (minimum 3.0 GPA).

Played in all 35 games … ranked second on the team in blocks (61) and fifth in rebounding (3.4 rpg) while averaging just 13.6 minutes per contest … blocked at least three shots in a game six times on the season … Academic All-Big 12 Second Team choice … earned the Jay Arnette Award (selfless contributions to the program) at the team’s end-of-the-year banquet … posted a season-high 11 points while setting a career high in field goals made (5-of-9) and added six rebounds and two steals in just 12 minutes against BYU (Nov. 25) … tied a season high with 11 points and set a career high in blocks (five) in 25 minutes against UT Arlington (Nov. 29) … tied his season high with 11 points, six boards and four blocks in the overtime victory at Temple (Dec. 7) … three of his four blocks against Temple came in the overtime period … had eight points and eight rebounds in the home win against Texas Tech (Jan. 11) … also recorded eight boards in the victory at TCU (Feb. 4) … registered eight rebounds in 16 minutes at No. 8/8 Kansas (Feb. 22) … earned a spot on the Spring 2014 Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll (minimum 3.0 GPA).

Naaman Forest High School in Garland, Texas (head coach Jeff Clarkson) … ranked as the No. 55 prospect nationally by Rivals.com and the No. 59 prospect nationally in the ESPN100 following his senior season … averaged 8.5 points, 8.4 rebounds and 4.9 blocks per game while leading Naaman Forest to a 29-8 mark and the Class 5A state semifinals as a senior … averaged 6.5 points, 9.3 rebounds and 5.2 blocks per contest during his junior season … played alongside UT teammate Demarcus Holland in high school for three years.

Full name is Prince Chinenye (pronounced KEN-yay) Ibeh … “Chinenye” in Nigerian means “god’s gift” … son of Francis (father) and Charity (mother) Ibeh … his parents lived in Mbaise, Nigeria before moving to London in 1987 … born June 3, 1994 in London, England … lived in London for his first five years … moved with his family to Amarillo, Texas at age five and lived there until he was 10 years old … family moved to Dallas when Prince was 10 … has three older brothers, Jason (26), Gavin (25) and Daniel (23) and one younger sister, Kristina (13) … majoring in Applied Learning and Development with a minor in Eduational Psychology and on pace to graduate in May 2016.
