Fourth Season at Texas
Ali Kabani is in his first season with the men’s basketball program and his fourth year as Assistant Athletics Equipment Manager at The University of Texas. Kabani is responsible for all aspects of designing, ordering, maintaining, storing and distributing equipment for the Men’s Basketball program, as well as supervising a staff of student managers. He also works with the Texas Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving and Rowing teams.
Kabani previously spent three years (2023-26) working on the equipment staff with the Texas Football program. He also managed day-to-day equipment operations for the Texas Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving and Rowing teams.
Kabani worked for six months (February-July 2023) as an Assistant Director of Football Equipment Operations at the University of Central Florida. He also served as an Equipment Intern for three months (May-August 2022) with the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys.
A native of Carrollton, Texas, Kabani earned his bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from The University of Texas in 2022. During his undergraduate career, he worked for three years (2020-23) as a student manager in the equipment room with the Football team.
