First Season at Texas
Connor Creech is in his first year as Graduate Assistant with the men’s basketball program at The University of Texas.
Prior to coming to Austin, Creech was a four-year member (2021-24) of the basketball team at the University of Northern Colorado. During his four seasons with the Bears, Creech saw action in 53 career games (eight starts) and posted 80 points and 88 rebounds in 529 minutes. A walk-on during his first two seasons at Northern Colorado, he earned a scholarship for his final two years and was a two-time selection to the university’s honor roll.
In his senior year (2023-24), Creech played in 22 games (one start) and helped the Bears post a 19-14 overall record and advance to the first round of the College Basketball Invitational. He appeared in 28 games (seven starts) as a junior and ranked fourth on the team in steals (12). Creech earned his bachelor’s degree in Sport Management with a minor in Business from the University of Northern Colorado in 2024.
A native of Hastings, Neb., Creech played basketball at Hastings High School. A two-time all-state and three-time all-conference selection, he graduated as the program’s all-time leader in career points and field goals made and ranked second in assists. Creech earned first-team all-state accolades as a senior in 2019-20, averaging 16.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game while leading Hastings to the Nebraska Class B Elite Eight. He claimed second-team all-state accolades during his junior season. Creech also played baseball and earned all-state honors as a pitcher as he set the program record and tied the Nebraska state mark for career saves.
