Cope served as the executive associate to Coach Beard at Texas Tech for five years (2016-21) and worked in the same role for Tubby Smith in 2015-16.
During her six total years in Lubbock, Cope served as a liaison for the coaching staff to various areas within the athletics department as well as managing the daily schedule, speaking engagements and all travel arrangements for Coach Beard. She also oversaw Chris Beard Basketball Camps with more than 1,000 participants in 2019.
Prior to her arrival at Texas Tech, Cope worked for the Tiger Woods Foundation based in Irvine, Calif. for 11 years on the Events team. While being involved with many facets of PGA tournaments and charity fundraisers, she managed event volunteers and the silent auctions, where she increased giving each year and raised over $700,000 for five annual events in her last year.
Cope spent two seasons at UC Irvine as the assistant to the athletic director, Bob Chichester, along with managing travel and purchasing for the baseball program under Dave Serrano from 2005-07. In this role, she managed the daily calendar, operations and annual travel for the athletic director and oversaw all travel arrangements for the baseball team. During her time in Irvine, the Anteaters advanced to the 2007 College World Series.
Cope served as director of baseball operations at Cal State Fullerton during the 2010 and 2011 seasons, when Serrano was the head coach of the Titans. In addition to her day-to-day duties with the baseball program, Cope administered the Titan Baseball Elite summer camps with over 500 participants.
Cope earned her bachelor’s degree in communications with a concentration in entertainment and tourism studies from Cal State Fullerton in 2003. She also received a certificate of meeting and event planning from Long Beach State University in 2005.
