Erin Floyd served as Special Assistant for the Texas Women's Basketball program from 2013-16 and served on Karen Aston’s support staff since the 2010-11 season. Floyd came to Texas in 2012 as the program's Administrative Assistant before being promoted to Special Assistant in December of 2013.
As a special assistant, Floyd oversaw the Longhorns’ camps, community service efforts and serves as a liaison for marketing efforts, among other duties.
Floyd arrived on the Forty Acres after a one-year stint at North Texas where she served as Director of Operations for Women's Basketball.
Prior to joining the full-time support staff at North Texas, Floyd played for Charlotte under Aston from 2006-10 and served a student assistant coach during the 2010-11 season.
As a student assistant coach in 2010-11, Floyd helped guide Charlotte to the 2011 WNIT Semifinals, which included tournament wins over South Carolina, Florida and Virginia. The 49ers finished with a 27-10 record and a third place finish in the Atlantic 10 Conference during the 2010-11 campaign.
As a player from 2006-10, Floyd was a three-year starter for the 49ers and graduated as Charlotte's co-leader for career games played. Floyd averaged over eight points per game in each of her last three seasons and Charlotte advanced to the postseason in all four seasons of Floyd's collegiate career.
The native of Sicklerville, N.J., won Charlotte’s Golden Nugget Award following the 2007-08 and 2009-10 campaigns, an annual award given to the player that exhibits the most dedication and determination.
