Shaimaa Elsisi is in her first season (2017-18) as a volunteer assistant coach with The University of Texas women's tennis program.
Elsisi comes to the Forty Acres from Baylor, where she served one season (2016-17) as a volunteer assistant women's tennis coach. She was the head women's tennis coach at Hillsborough Community College (2010-16) after serving as both an assistant men's and women's tennis coach and as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for multiple teams at Troy University (2006-09).
Elsisi has taken on coaching positions over the last 15 years at Austin Tennis Academy, Advantage Tennis Academy (Irvine, Calif.), International Tennis Academy (Delray, Fla.), Malibu (Calif.) Summer Tennis Camp, Elsawy Tennis Center (Tampa, Fla.) and Waco (Texas) Regional Tennis and Fitness Center.
In her native Egypt, Elsisi served as a head coach of middle school and high school programs and an assistant coach/director of the juniors developmental program at Cairo American College/Mini Tennis Academy (1999-2004). As a player, Elsisi was a member of the Egyptian National Tennis Team who competed on the WTA Tour. She played two seasons of collegiate tennis at Troy University (2005-06).
Elsisi holds bachelor's and master's degrees in sports and fitness management from Troy University.
