Mikayla Tatman is in her first year as Assistant Coach/Director of Operations with Texas women's golf.
Tatman spent the last two seasons at Arizona State and during the 2024-25 season was promoted to Associate Head Coach.
In the 2024-25 season Tatman helped the Sun Devils win three tournaments. The Sun Devils finished runner-up in the NCAA Regional and advanced to the NCAA Championship where they finished in ninth place.
Tatman joined Arizona State after spending the previous three seasons as an Assistant Coach at Tulsa. During her time with the Golden Hurricane, Tatman was a big part of the resurgence of the traditional power. Working alongside Tulsa Head Coach Annie Young, she helped lead the program to an appearance at the NCAA Championship hosted by Arizona State at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale. It was the first appearance in the NCAA Championship in 15 years for the Golden Hurricane.
Tatman’s knack for recruiting and advanced knowledge of the game has allowed her to establish a reputation as one of the most promising young coaches at the collegiate level. In her three seasons with Tulsa, they won six tournament titles, five stroke play and one match-play event. The signature victory came at the American Athletic Conference Championship, where Tulsa clinched an automatic bid into the postseason by winning the league title in her first season.
Before her stint at Tulsa, Tatman spent two years as an assistant coach at the University of Denver, where she was an integral part of leading the Pioneers to a Summit League Conference Championship in 2019.
Tatman played collegiately at Colorado State University from 2011-16. At the conclusion of her career, she boasted the 10th best stroke average in school history at 77.96, while earning Mountain West scholar-athlete accolades and WGCA All-American Scholar honors for three seasons.
Tatman received her bachelor's degree in human development and family studies from Colorado State in 2016.
