Skyler Gress joined Texas Athletics in August 2024 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Longhorn’s Football Program. Prior to joining the Longhorns, she was an Athletic Trainer with the University of Kentucky Football Program (2021-2024). Skyler has experience working in the NFL with the Pittsburgh Steelers as an Intern Assistant Athletic Trainer during the 2019 and 2020 football season along with working as an NFL Summer Athletic Training Intern for the Denver Broncos (2018) and Atlanta Falcons (2017).
Skyler earned her bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Colorado State University-Pueblo, where she was a student-athlete as a member of the Thunderwolves Women’s Soccer Team. She then earned a Masters’ degree in Sports Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh. Skyler holds national certifications, is a licensed Athletic Trainer with state of Texas and is a member of the National Athletic Training Association (NATA).
A native of Douglass, Kansas, Skyler and her husband, Donny, reside in Austin, Texas.
