Diaz Barriga falls in UTSA Invitational final

SAN ANTONIO -- University of Texas sophomore Luis Diaz Barriga (Cordoba, Mexico) suffered a straight-set defeat Sunday in the finals of the UTSA Invitational on the Texas-San Antonio campus.
After winning three matches on Saturday, Diaz Barriga dropped a 6-4, 6-2 decision in Sunday's final to Texas A&M's Matt Bain. Diaz Barriga defeated opponents from Texas-San Antonio and Tyler Junior College to advance to the final of the 16-player bracket.
The Longhorns return to action on Friday, Oct. 14 at the Midland Invitational.
