SUNRIVER, Ore. -- Senior Lisa Ferrero (Lodi, Calif.) shot a final-round 75 on Friday to tie for 60th place (74-78-76-75=303, +19) at the NCAA Women's Golf Championships (Meadows Golf Course: Par 71, 6,312 yards). Duke's Anna Grzebien earned medalist honors after finishing with a two-over-par 286. The Blue Devils finished at 34-over-par to win the national championship by five strokes over UCLA.
Ferrero started the final round on the back nine and birdied number 10 before bogeying numbers 11 and 14 to finish her first nine at one-over-par. She went on to birdie number six, but bogeys on numbers one, two, five and eight left her at three-over-par on the front nine and four-over-par for the round.
This was Ferrero's final tournament as a Longhorn. She finished her career as two time All-Big 12 second team performer and a three time Academic All-Big 12 honoree. Her best finish, a tie for second place, came earlier this season at the Big 12 Championships and she ends her career with a 75.78 scoring average.
