Ten things you need to know about Cat Osterman

1. "Go, Go Gadget Legs!" "She is a towering, lanky woman. I have to admit that hugs often feel awkward between us because my head reaches her belly button," says senior Chez Sievers. Cat is 6'2" with legs that go on for days.
2. American Idol Reject. Fellow senior Tina Boutelle says, "Cat is one of the worst karaoke singers I have ever heard. 'Wide Open Spaces', anyone?" Cat knows she is bad but she doesn't care. She will just keep singing away on that microphone.
3. DeAnn's Triplets. "Cat is part of 'DeAnn's Triplets', a group made up of Cat, (freshman) Kelly Melone and myself. We arrive to practice at what seems like eight hours before to get ready and all warmed up in the training room," says senior Jaclyn Daniels. DeAnn Koehler is the athletic trainer who works with all 16 ladies on the team.
4. It's Called OCD. "She has to have things a certain way. For example, Cat has to wear her black elbow sleeve, has to start her warm-ups with rise balls, has to wear a sweat band on her forearm, and has to always have her cell phone," says junior Megan Willis. Things have to be done just perfectly before the game for Ms. Osterman.
5. Sweet Tooth. Yes, Cat has a serious sweet tooth. "Cat likes chocolate Teddy Grahams," says Melone. She is also obsessed with Oreos. "She is trying to cut down on her Oreo intake. I think it has been four days and counting," says Boutelle. "She has a tendency to eat lots of cookie dough," says junior Jacqueline Williams. Sounds delicious!
6. "Break it off and make it dance!" This is a famous quote heard frequently by Coach Connie Clark. (It refers to giving your pitch movement once it is released) "Cat is a great pitcher with nasty movement," says Clark. She makes her ball dance right into the catcher's mitt. Just ask the 2,000 plus batters who have watched the ball fly right by with two strikes.
7. "You can't handle the truth!" Clark says, "She tells it like it is without any sugar on it." Cat will be completely honest with the players and the staff. I wonder if some celebrities could handle Cat's truth!
8. Chef Osterman. Cat claims that she is a great cook. "She loves to cook taco soup," says freshman Brittany Reliford. Many will argue that it's pretty much the only thing Cat knows how to cook, but it is one mean bowl of soup.
9. Getting all the jobs done. "I don't know if I have ever met anyone who is as good at multi-tasking as Cat. She can talk on the phone, eat dinner, do her homework, check her email and instant message all at the same time," says Coach Marla Looper. Maybe you shouldn't multi-task behind the wheel though, Cat.
10. Need a lift? Rachael Cook says, "Cat's pretty tall, yet she loves for me to give her piggy-back rides even though her feet drag on the ground." I guess sometimes Cat doesn't realize how tall she really is.
