TEAM NOTES
- Texas posted 50 or more points for the third time in 2007 (58 vs. Rice, 56 vs. Iowa State) and it was the most points by the Longhorns since scoring 63 against Baylor in 2006.
- Texas moved to 40-4 (.909) against teams within the state's borders in the Mack Brown era, including 24-1 (.960) at home.
- Texas moved to 26-5 (.839) in November under Mack Brown.
- Texas scored 50 or more points for the third time in the last four meetings against Texas Tech.
- Texas has now won five-consecutive games against Texas Tech.
- Texas held an opponent to 10 yards or less rushing for the third time in 2007 (Rice - (-11) and Baylor - 8).
- Texas improved its overall record against Texas Tech to 43-14, including 27-5 in Austin.
- Texas became the only NCAA Division I Bowl Subdvision team to win at least nine games in each of the last 10 seasons.
- Mack Brown became the only active NCAA Division I Bowl Subdivision head coach that has won at least nine games in each of the last 12 seasons.
- For the first time in school history, the Longhorns boast three players with 40 or more receptions (Nate Jones 61, Quan Cosby 58 & Jermichael Finley 40).
- For the third time in school history, the Longhorns boast three players with 500 or more receiving yards (Nate Jones 695, Quan Cosby 613 and Jermichael Finley 541). The Horns also accomplished the feat in 1999 (Kwame Cavil 1,188, Ryan Nunez 600 and Montrell Flowers (552) and 2005 (Billy Pittman 750, David Thomas 613 and Limas Sweed 545).
- Texas scored on eight consecutive drives, counting the last four drives against Oklahoma State and the first four drives against Texas Tech for a total of 52 points (7 TDs, 1 FG).
- Texas scored on the opening drive for the fifth time in 2007 (Arkansas State - TD, UCF - FG, Kansas State - TD, Iowa State - TD).
- Texas held its opponent scoreless on the opening drive for the eighth time in 2007 (Arkansas State - FG, Kansas State - TD, Oklahoma State - TD).
- Texas' 6:51 TD drive to open the second half was its second-longest drive in terms of time of possession on the season, trailing only a 7:08 TD drive in the third quarter vs. Baylor.
- Tech's 43 points scored was the most by an opponent in a Texas win since the Longhorns beat Washington 47-43 in the 2001 Holiday Bowl.
- Texas is now 57-0 when rushing for more than 200 yards in a game in the Mack Brown era.
- Texas is 87-3 when outrushing an opponent in the Mack Brown era.
- Texas is now 49-7 when passing for more than 250 yards in a game in the Mack Brown era.
- Texas is now 79-2 when recording more than 400 total yards in the Mack Brown era.
- Texas is now 98-11 when scoring more than 20 points in the Mack Brown era.
- Texas is now 84-7 when leading at halftime in the Mack Brown era.
- Texas posted at least 500 yards of offense for the fifth time in 2007. They have eclipsed 500 yards in each of the last three games and in four of the last five.
- Texas tallied at least 500 yards of offense for the 34th time under Mack Brown. There are only 57 of them on UT record.
- Texas' 1,140 yards of total offense against Oklahoma State (589) and Texas Tech (551) are the most in back-to-back games since 2005 when they logged 1,262 against Baylor (645).

Ryan Bailey
- Bailey extended his streak to 57 consecutive made PATs.

Rashad Bobino
- Bobino's interception with 3:20 remaining in the game was the first of his career.

Jamaal Charles
- On UT's first drive of the second quarter, Charles became the sixth player in UT history to record over 3,000 career rushing yards, joining Rick Williams (6,279), Cedric Benson (5,540), Earl Campbell (4,443), Chris Gilbert (3,231) and Vince Young (3,127).
- With his 174 rushing yards, Charles moved into sixth place on UT's career rushing list with 3,075 yards passing Roosevelt Leaks (2,923 - 1972-74).
- Charles moved into sixth place on UT's single-season rushing list with 1,366 yards, passing Cedric Benson (2003 - 1,360), Hodges Mitchell (1999 - 1,343), Benson (2002 - 1,293) and Ricky Williams (1996 - 1,272).
- Charles recorded his third consecutive 100-yard rushing game, his sixth of the season (t-9th UT) and the 10th of his career (t-9th UT).
- Charles' 24-yard TD run with 8:26 remaining in the second quarter was his 15th rushing TD of the season and the 33rd rushing TD of his career.
- Charles moved into a tie with Jim Bertelsen (33 - 1969-71) for sixth place on UT's career rushing TD list with 33 and with Steve Worster (36 - 1968-70) on UT's career TDs scored list with 36.
- Charles' 165 rushing yards in the first half was his second-highest first half total, behind the 171 yards he posted in the first half against Rice in 2005.
- Charles has rushed for 644 yards and seven TDs on 72 carries (8.9 ypc) over the last three games.
- Charles became the first UT player to rush 170 or more yards in three consecutive games since Cedric Benson accomplished the feat against Arkansas (188), Rice (189) and Baylor in second, third and fourth game of the 2004 season.
- Charles 644 rushing yards over the last three games is the sixth-highest total trailing four three-game strings by Ricky Williams (807 - 1998; 748 - 1998; 677 - 1997; 659 - 1997) and one three-game string by Roosevelt Leaks (744 - 1973).

Quan Cosby
- Cosby has recorded a reception in 29 consecutive games.
- Cosby has recorded at least three receptions in 10 of UT's 11 games.
- Cosby's 20-yard TD reception with 8:09 remaining in the third quarter was his fourth of the season and eighth of his career.
- Cosby's TD reception also moved him past Johnny Walker (114 - 1987-90) for seventh place on UT's career receptions list. He ended the game with 118.
- Cosby moved into second place on UT's career kickoff return yardage list with 1,149, passing Victor Ike (1,107 - 1999-2001).
- Cosby eclipsed the 1,500 plateau in all-purpose yardage and ended the game with 1,544 and needs 19 yards to tie Ricky Williams (1,563 - 1996) for 10th place on the school's single-season list.

Jermichael Finley
- Finley has recorded at least one reception in 17 of his last 18 games.
- Finley has recorded two or more receptions in 19 of his last 22 games.
- Finely has recorded at least three receptions in eight of UT's 11 games.
- Finely moved into sixth place on UT's career tight end receiving yards list with 913, passing William Harris (909 - 1983-85).
- Finely moved into a tie with Kerry Cash for fourth place on UT's career tight end reception list with 71.
- Finely moved into second place on UT's single-season tight end receptions list with 40, passing Pat Fitzgerald (40 - 1996). He trails only David Thomas (50 - 2005).

Nate Jones
- Jones has logged three or more receptions in all 11 of UT's games.
- Jones has recorded at least four receptions in 10 of UT's 11 games.
- Jones 34-yard TD reception with 3:36 remaining in the fourth quarter was his fifth of the season and ninth of his career.
- Jones 58 receptions on the season are the most by a UT player since Roy Williams caught 70 passes in 2003.
- Jones became just the third different player in school history to log 60 or more receptions in a season. He ended the game with 61, joining a list that includes just Kwame Cavil (100 - 1999) and Roy Williams who accomplished the feat on three occasions, including 2001 (67), 2002 (64) and 2003 (70). Jones stands in fifth place on UT's single-season receptions list.

Colt McCoy
- McCoy logged his 19th win to move into a tie with Bret Stafford for ninth place on UT's career QB victories list.
- McCoy joined Chris Simms as the only players in school history to 20 or more passing TDs in back-to-back seasons and the only players in school history to log two seasons of 20 or more passing TDs.
- McCoy set the school record for most TD passes in consecutive seasons with 49, he topped the 48 thrown by Chris Simms in 2001 (22) and 2002 (26).
- With his 6 TD responsible for (4 pass/2 rush), McCoy came up one shy of the school record of 7 by Clyde Littlefield in 1915. The last time the feat of six was accomplished was last season when McCoy threw six TDs against Baylor.
- McCoy has thrown for at least 200 yards in 11 of his last 12 games and 16 times in 24 career games.
- McCoy moved into second place on UT's single-season total offense list with 3,284, passing Major Applewhite (1999 - 3,211) and Chris Simms (2002 - 3,083) and trailing only Vince Young (2005 - 4,086).
- McCoy became the seventh player in school history to log over 6,000 yards of total offense in a career and ended the game with 6,024.
- McCoy's 1-yard TD run with 9:22 remaining in the second quarter and 22-yard TD run with 6:57 remaining in the fourth quarter gave him three for the season and five for his career. It marked his first career two rushing TD game.
- McCoy has thrown at least two TD passes in 16 of his 24 starts.
- McCoy has rushed for 40 or more yards in each of the last five games. He has 306 yards on 52 carries over the 5-game span.
- McCoy posted at least 300 yards of total offense (319) for the ninth time in his career.

Vondrell McGee
- McGee's one-yard TD run with 1:02 remaining in the first quarter was his seventh of the season.
- McGee's 24 rushes were a career high, topping the 10 carries he had against Baylor this season.

Jordan Shipley
- Shipley's 18-yard TD reception with 10:15 remaining in the first quarter was his fourth of the season (equaling his career high) and eighth of his career.

Attendance: 86,401 - UT's 46th consecutive sellout and seventh largest home crowd in UT history.
