Longhorns trio helps West to 31-13 Shrine Game win

HOUSTON -- Former Longhorns LB Scott Derry, DT Derek Lokey and DT Frank Okam helped the West to a 31-13 Win in the East-West Shrine Game on Saturday night in Houston.
Derry recorded three tackles including a key fourth down stop with the West leading 24-13 and the East threatening with four minutes to go in the game. Okam added four tackles and a pressure and Lokey notched three tackles and two pressures, including one that contributed to an interception return for a TD for the West's final score. The West held the East to 310 yards.
Former Longhorns S Marcus Griffin, LB Robert Killebrew and WR Limas Sweed will also participate in various post-season All-Star games in the coming weeks. Griffin and Sweed are headed to the Senior Bowl, while Killebrew is going to the Texas vs. the Nation All-Star Challenge.
The 2008 Under Armour Senior Bowl, which is played in Mobile, Ala., will kickoff at 2 p.m. Central on January 26, and the game will be nationally televised by the NFL Network.
The 2nd Annual Texas vs. the Nation All-Star Challenge will be played on Feb. 2 at the Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso, Texas. It can be seen live on CSTV at 4 p.m. Central.
