- Texas has won at least nine games for the 11th consecutive season, the longest active string in the nation. Mack Brown's streak dating back to North Carolina is up to 13 straight seasons

Bible earned his wins at Mississippi College (12), LSU (1), Texas A&M (72), Nebraska (50) and Texas (63). Next on the list is No. 18 Jim Sweeney with 200 wins.
- Texas is 43-6 (.878) against teams from with the Texas border in the Mack Brown era, including 28-1 at home.
- Texas picked up the 829 win in program history, drawing into a tie with Notre Dame (who plays Boston College this evening) for second on the all-time list. Michigan is the top squad with 872 wins.

Ryan Bailey
- Bailey connected on his first field goal attempt of the season and stretched his consecutive made streak to seven.
Brandon Collins
- Collins' 40-yard TD reception with 9:45 remaining in the third quarter was the first scoring catch of his career.
- Collins' 40-yard reception was a career long. His previous long was 38 yards against Missouri.
Quan Cosby
- Cosby has caught a pass in 41 consecutive games.
- Cosby record his third 100-yard receiving game of the season and the fifth of his career.
- Cosby moved into sixth place on the UT single-season list for receptions with 66. He passed Roy Williams (64 - 2002) and himself (60 - 2007) in the game.
- Cosby hauled in his 14th and 15th career TD passes, moving into a tie with David Thomas (2002-05) and Lovell Pinkney (1992-94) for sixth place on UT's career list.
- Cosby (66) and Shipley (70) moved into second place on UT's list for top receiving duos in a season with 136. They trail only Kwame Cavil (100) and Ryan Nunez (56) who combined for 156 receptions in 1999.
- Cosby (802) and Shipley (862) moved into fourth place on UT's list for top receiving duos in a season with 1,664. The school record is owned by Wane McGarity (1,087) and Kwame Cavil (775) who combined for 1,862 receiving yards in 1998.
James Kirkendoll
- Kirkendoll hauled in a career high four receptions. He previously had two receptions on two separate occasions.
Colt McCoy
- McCoy's five TD passes was one shy of his own school record set against Baylor in 2006. It is the fourth time in school history a UT player has thrown for five or more TD passes.
- McCoy has thrown a TD pass in 33 of his 36 career games and at least two TD passes in 24 games.
- McCoy has thrown a TD pass in 14 consecutive games. His current streak ranks behind only Major Applewhite's 19 in 1998-99.
- McCoy (29-7) picked up his 29th career QB victory to move within one win of Vince Young (30-2) for the school record.
- McCoy logged his ninth 200-yard passing game of the season and the 26th of his career. The 26 career 200-yard games trails only Major Applewhite's 29 on UT's all-time list.
- McCoy logged his fourth 300-yard passing game of the season and the ninth of his career. Both marks are one shy of the respective records, both held by Major Applewhite who booked 300-yard games on five occasions in 1999 and had nine for his career.
- McCoy passed Major Applewhite (3,211 - 1999) and Chris Simms (3,083 - 2002) to move into third place on UT's single-season total offense list and ended the game with 3,328 yards. He now owns the No. 2 (3,795 - 2007), No. 3 and No. 7 (2,740 - 2006) spots on the list. The school record is 4,086 by Vince Young in 2005.
- McCoy passed Chris Simms (2,603 - 2001) to move into fifth place on UT's single-season passing yardage list and ended the game with 2,879. He now holds the No. 2 (3,303 - 2007), No. 5 and No. 7 (2,570 - 2006) spots on the list. The school record is 3,357 by Major Applewhite in 1999.
- McCoy increased his UT career TD pass record to 79 with five TD passes in the game.
- McCoy increased his UT career passing yards record to 8,752 with 300 yards in the game.
- McCoy increased his UT career total offense record to 9,863 with 321 yards in the game.
- McCoy has thrown for a combined 575 yards and 11 TDs in his two career home games against Baylor.
Vondrell McGee
- McGee rushed for 50 or more yards for the third time this season and the sixth time in his career.
Roy Miller
- Miller recorded his second sack of the season and bumped his career total to 6.5.
Chris Ogbonnaya
- Ogbonnaya passed Phil Brown (686) for fourth place on UT's career list for receiving yards by a running back, ending the game with 687 yards.
- Ogbonnaya moved into a tie with Eric Metcalf (1987) for sixth place on the UT single-season list for most receptions by a running back with 33.
Ryan Palmer
- Palmer's interception midway through the second quarter was his third of the season and the fourth of his career. The TD on the return was the first of his career.
Jordan Shipley
- Shipley scored a TD in his 10th consecutive game.
- Shipley hauled in his 11th TD reception of the season, moving to within one of the single-season school record of 12 set by Roy Williams (2002) and Limas Sweed (2006).
- Shipley moved into a tie with Limas Sweed for second place on the UT career TD reception list with 20. The duo trails only Roy Williams (36).
- Shipley moved into a tie with Nate Jones (2007) and Roy Williams (2003) for second place on UT's single-season receptions list with 70. The trio trails only Kwame Cavil with 100 in 1999.
- Shipley moved into ninth place on the Texas career receptions list with 113, passing Tony Jones (108 - 1986-89).
- Shipley moved into eighth place on the UT single-season list for receiving yards with 860.
- Cosby (66) and Shipley (70) moved into second place on UT's list for top receiving duos in a season with 136. They trail only Kwame Cavil (100) and Ryan Nunez (56) who combined for 156 receptions in 1999.

Greg Smith

- Whittaker logged career highs for rushing attempts (15) and rushing yards (77). His previous bests were 12 rushes and 72 yards against UTEP this season.
