Corovic tabbed Big 12 Women's Tennis Player of the Week

IRVING, Texas -- The Big 12 Conference announced Texas sophomore Vanja Corovic as its Women's Tennis Player of the Week Monday after the all-conference standout totaled a 3-0 record and defeated a top-five opponent last week.
Corovic (Belgrade, Serbia) upset Northwestern's third-ranked Maria Mosolova by a 6-7, 6-3, 1-0 (10-1) count in UT's 5-2 loss to the top-ranked Wildcats on Tuesday, March 25. Corovic improved to 4-0 in Big 12 singles play with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Iowa State's Kara Hickey and a 6-3, 6-3 win over Nebraska's Wiveca Swarting in the Longhorns' victories over the Cyclones and Huskers on March 28 and 29, respectively.
Corovic also tallied a pair of doubles victories alongside junior Marija Milic in UT's wins over Iowa State and Nebraska. Corovic earned her second career selection as the Big 12 Women's Tennis Player of the Week.
Corovic and the Longhorns resume competition on Friday, April 4 at Colorado.
