Richards leads Team USA to 4x400m relay gold

BERLIN -- Texas Ex Sanya Richards helped the United States to its world-leading 10th gold medal at the 12th IAAF World Outdoor Track and Field Championships as she ran the anchor leg of USA's title winning 4x400m relay Sunday afternoon.
Richards, along with Debbie Dunn, Allyson Felix and Lashinda Demus, blazed around the track in a world-leading time of 3:17.83 to cap off the women's side of the nine-day World Championships. The US led from gun and never relinquished with Richards anchoring in 48.43
The victory is the third 4x400m world title with a Longhorn on its roster since the inception of the event. Along with her part in the winning mile-relay, Richards also won her first individual gold in the 400m while Texas Ex Melaine Walker won the 400m hurdles gold medal.
