Former Texas quarterbacks Colt McCoy and Vince Young attended The ESPYS in Los Angeles, Calif., last week and were on the red carpet together.
During their time at as Longhorns, the duo combined for two Maxwell Awards (national player of the year), two AT&T All-America Player of the Year Awards, two Davey O'Brien Awards (nation's top QB) and two Manning Awards (nation's top QB).
McCoy was also a two-time Walter Camp Football Foundation Player of the Year, won the Unitas Golden Arm Award (nation's top senior QB) and was a unanimous first-team All-America selection, while Young was also a consensus first-team All-America selection. Both players were runner-up for the Heisman Trophy with McCoy being named a two-time finalist.
From 2003-09, they combined for a 75-10 record as starters and led Texas to a 5-2 bowl record that included three BCS bowl game victories, the 2005 National Championship and an appearance in the 2010 BCS National Championship Game.
McCoy and Young combined for 19,293 passing yards, 156 passing TDs, 4,698 rushing yards and 57 rushing TDs. In all, they totaled 23,991 yards of total offense and were responsible for 213 total TDs. They also hold 10 of the top 12 single-game total offense marks in UT history.
In the NFL, Young is a two-time Pro Bowler for the Tennessee Titans and was the 2006 Offensive Rookie of the Year after being selected third overall in the 2006 NFL Draft. McCoy was drafted in the third round of the 2010 draft by the Cleveland Browns.
