Why did you choose Texas?
First of all, the reason I chose Texas is because of the family atmosphere, and I've been around this place for a long time. I grew up being a Texas fan ever since I was little. I admire this place and love it. I'm just excited to have the opportunity to play at the University of Texas.
Did the fact that your brother Quentin Jammer played at Texas influence your decision?
It played a big part because our family has always been big Texas fans. We love Texas and there really wasn't another choice that I had but to come to Texas. That was always my choice from the beginning.
What is special about the Texas football program?
We had one bad year and everybody's trying to put us down, but the thing about Texas is we're always going to rebuild and we're always going to be great. I know this program is going up. We're not going to have any more 5-7 years. I'm just excited to be a part of that change.
Why did you decide to enroll early?
The reason I enrolled early is because I wanted to get ahead on the playbook. We had different coordinators coming in, and I just wanted to get a head start on all the other freshman and get a better chance of playing.
What are your thoughts about head coach Mack Brown?
Coach Brown, I've known him my whole life, ever since my brother was here. He's always been a great guy. He's a real genuine guy. He is just one of those guys you grow up loving. I love coach Brown, and I admire him for giving me the opportunity to be able to come to the University of Texas.
How excited are you to get to play at UT?
It's great and it's something you dream about your whole life. From four years ago when D.J. Monroe signed his letter of intent in Angleton, it's just another great accomplishment for Angleton. That's four guys from Angleton that have been at the University of Texas, and it's a blessing.
