No. 6 Men's Tennis shuts out St. Edward's, 7-0

AUSTIN, Texas -
No. 6 Texas (13-4) swept the nine singles and doubles matches and cruised to a 7-0 victory over St. Edward's Sunday evening at UT's Penick-Allison Tennis Center.Texas put away the Hilltoppers in swift fashion in the doubles session. Sophomore Chris Camillone and freshman Sudanwa Sitaram dealt Alexandre Bueno and James Rogers an 8-1 defeat at third doubles, and senior Kellen Damico teamed up with sophomore Alex Hilliard to post an 8-3 win over Pedro Bronstrup and Ryan Wiggins at the second slot. UT senior Ed Corrie and Jean Andersen closed out the doubles session at the No. 1 slot with an 8-4 win over Ned Boone and Mick Walter.
Sophomore Daniel Whitehead notched a 6-1, 6-1 win over Wiggins at third singles, and Corrie registered a 6-0, 6-3 win over Boone at first singles. Sophomore Vasko Mladenov provided the clinching point with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Walter at the second position.
Hilliard added a 6-1, 6-2 win over Bueno at sixth singles, and Sitaram notched a 6-2, 6-4 win over Bronstrup at fourth singles. Sophomore Ben Chen finished off the victory with a 7-6, 6-2 win over Rogers at fifth singles.
Texas opens Big 12 Conference play on Friday, March 25 at Oklahoma.
