How does it feel to come back and see so many former Longhorns?

A lot of the guys you hadn't seen all year are back here. You get to catch up [and] kind of get a yearly check-in with a lot of the guys. It's really important to keep up with these guys because these are your brothers. We have a good time out here. We hang out and just catch up on family and jobs and what everyone is doing around here.
What are you doing now?

I'm in real estate. I sell properties all over town here in Austin. I work for a developer, Stratus Properties. We develop properties in neighborhoods out by Barton Creek.
What was special about the time you spent playing football at UT?

You don't know this until you're done, but the special thing about playing for the University of Texas is that Coach Brown recruits good guys. We all hang out and everything while we're playing, but it's the atmosphere when you're done. With things like this, a lot of the guys come back and a lot of guys look forward to this. I have friends that are around from other schools, universities, that played sports but there's nothing like this. They wish they had something like this. This is what you go to the University of Texas for. It's your networking and your friends. Your family of friends.
Why did you choose to play football at UT?

A little bit of everything, but my main deciding factor was the atmosphere, the University of Texas, the campus, the facilities and then Coach Brown. Coach Brown was very genuine. Out of all the schools I looked at and went to and went on official visits to, Coach Brown is the only coach that's still here and still the same person. He understands the kids. He understood us as players at the time, and it was a lot of fun.
What is your favorite memory during your playing days?

My favorite game at the University of Texas was the Cotton Bowl against LSU [in 2003]. Being from Louisiana, playing a lot of the guys I played against and with in high school was a lot of fun. The whole bowl week was a lot of fun. We talked to some of the guys we played with in high school, and it was a lot of fun.
How did playing at UT prepare you for life after football?

That's huge. The time I spent at UT was great. Jean Bryant [Academic Counselor] taught you a lot about life after football. There are a lot of things that go into your upbringing in school that you're actually going to use once you're out of college. I've learned a lot from [the counselors] such as networking and business etiquette. Things like that to where I feel comfortable in the business world now.
