Malcolm Brown
- Brown registered the most rushing yards by a Texas freshman in a season opener since Jamaal Charlesin 2005 (135 yards vs. Louisiana-Lafayette)
Mike Davis
- Davis registered a 100-yard receiving game for the first time on the season and the third of his career.
- Davis registered a career-high with 115 receiving yards, topping the 109 he logged at Kansas State last season.
Garrett Gilbert
- Gilbert's 26-yard TD pass with 5:57 remaining in the fourth quarter was his first of the season and 13 for his career.
- Gilbert recorded his first 200-yard passing game of the season and the 10th of his career.
- With his 239 passing yards, Gilbert moved past Bobby Layne (3,145 - 1944-47) for ninth place on UT's career passing list with 3,384.
John Harris
- Harris' 36-yard TD pass midway through the third quarter was his first career pass completion, pass attempt and touchdown.
Cody Johnson
- Johnson's 1-yard TD run at the beginning of the second quarter was his first of the season and the 31st of his career. He moved within two TDs of Jim Bertelsen (33 - 1969-71) for seventh place on UT's list for career TDs.
- Johnson ended the game with 1,274 career rushing yards to move within two yards of Priest Holmes(1,276 - 1992-96) for 32nd place on the Longhorns' career rushing list.
D.J. Monroe
- With his 33 kickoff return yards, Monroe ended the game with 1,000 career kickoff return yards, becoming the fourth player to reach the plateau. He joined Quan Cosby (1,731 - 2005-08), Mike Adams (1,591 - 1992-96) and Victor Ike(1,107 - 1999-2001) on the list.
Adrian Phillips
- Phillips' fumble recovery at the end of the first quarter was the first of his career.
Cody Ramirez
- Ramirez's fumble recovery at the end of the fourth quarter was the first of his career.
Jaxon Shipley
- Shipley's 36-yard TD reception midway through the third quarter was the first of his career.
Justin Tucker
- Tucker improved to 25-of-29 in his career on field goal attempts.
- Tucker improved his string of consecutive field goals made to eight.
Foswhitt Whittaker
- Whittaker became the first Longhorn to score on a TD run and a TD reception in the same game since Chris Ogbonnaya against Colorado on Oct. 4, 2008.
- Whittaker became the first Longhorn to score on a TD run and a TD reception in the same quarter since Selvin Young against North Texas on Sept. 2, 2006.
- Whittaker's 7-yard TD run early in the fourth quarter was his first of the season and the seventh of his career.
- Whittaker's 26-yard TD catch in the middle of the fourth quarter was the first of his career.
- Whittaker's 55 receiving yards was five shy of his career-high of 59 set in last year's season finale against Texas A&M.
