- Series vs. Chaminade: Tied, 1-1. Coach Rick Barnes is 1-2 against the Silverswords.
- Texas has an overall 7-4 record in its fourth appearance in the EA SPORTS Maui Invitational. The Longhorns will play on Tuesday at 4 p.m. CT on ESPN2.
- Texas started the game on an 8-0 run in first 5:31 of the first half. Chaminade missed its first 10 shots before going on its own 8-0 run to tie the game.
- Freshman guard Javan Felix led Texas in scoring with a career-high 17 points. It is the first time Felix has led the Horns in scoring.
- Sophomore guard Sheldon McClellan finished 7-for-7 at the free throw line, improving to 29-for-31 on the season (93.5 percent). It is the second game this season in which he made all of his free throws (14-for-14 vs. Fresno State).
- FG Defense: UT held its opponent to under 40 percent shooting for third time in as many games this season. Chaminade shot 36.8 percent (21-of-57). Texas is 208-20 in the Barnes era when holding opponents to under 40 percent field goal shooting.
- Freshman forward Prince Ibeh made his first career start. Ibeh finsiehd with three rebounds and two points in six minutes played.
- A season-high four Longhorns reached double-figure scoring totals - Felix (17), McClellan (14), Jonathan Holmes (10) and Julien Lewis (10).
