Due to technical difficulties, the Texas Two Step autograph event lottery has been postponed. The online lottery to obtain tickets to the event will now occur on Friday, Aug. 3, at noon Central.
For the fifth straight year, the UT Football and Volleyball teams team up for The Texas Two Step: The Ultimate August Autograph Outing. The event starts at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18, at Gregory Gym on UT's campus.
An online lottery is scheduled for noon Central on Wednesday, Aug. 1 to determine the 250 winners, who may also bring one guest. Winners receive a confirmation email, which must be brought to the event along with a valid ID for admission.
ONLY WINNERS OF THE AUGUST 1 ONLINE LOTTERY WHO PRESENT A CONFIRMATION EMAIL ALONG WITH A VALID ID WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE AUTOGRAPH LINE. OUTSIDE ITEMS MAY NOT BE BROUGHT TO THE EVENT FOR AUTOGRAPHS. ALL FANS ARE WELCOME TO WATCH THE VOLLEYBALL SCRIMMAGE.
Fans have the opportunity to meet and get autographs from the Longhorns and head coach Mack Brown on items provided by UT Athletics. Due to NCAA compliance issues, outside items may not be brought to the event. Any item provided by UT should be for personal use only and is not intended for sale.
"Prohibiting outside items and limiting the number of autographed items helps to protect the eligibility of our student-athletes," said UT Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance Services Lori Smith. "We want the Texas Two Step to be a great experience for all fans and student-athletes; however, we have seen a trend of student-athlete signed items being offered for sale to the public and this is intended to prevent that from happening."
Fans also have the opportunity to have a photo taken with Mack Brown by a professional photographer. Photos are printed and given to fans at the event free of charge. Players are not available for photos.
As fans await their opportunity to participate, they can take in a bonus opportunity to see Texas Volleyball practice. Attendance to the volleyball scrimmage does not require lottery participation.
Suggested parking for the event is in the Brazos Garage (BRG) off MLK Blvd.
