DALLAS - The Texas-West Virginia game, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 6 at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, kicks off at 6 p.m. Central, the Big 12 Conference announced Monday.
The teams have met just once with the Mountaineers downing the Longhorns, 7-6, in 1956. They will be meeting as conference foes for the first time.
The 12th-ranked Horns (3-0) play at Oklahoma State (2-1) Saturday (6:50 p.m. Central/FOX) in the league opener for both teams. No. 8 WVU plays its first-ever Big 12 game Saturday (noon Central) when the Baylor Bears visit Morgantown, W.Va.
