• The Horns have posted a 130-19 (.872) record against in-state foes during the Barnes era entering Friday's game, including marks of 27-7 against Baylor, 23-7 against Texas A&M and 29-3 against Texas Tech.

COMEBACK KIDS
• After overcoming a nine-point deficit (62-53) with 9:44 remaining in the second half during the season opener against Mercer, the Horns trailed by as much as 17 points (45-28) with 1:28 left in the opening half on Tuesday against South Alabama. Texas outscored South Alabama by a 53-32 margin in the second half and posted a +18 rebound margin (27-9) in the final 20 minutes.
HOLMES' CAREER NIGHT
• Junior forward Jonathan Holmes posted career highs in points (23), field goals made (8-of-16) and three-pointers made (4-of-7) while adding nine rebounds (five offensive), two blocks, one assist and one steal in 26 minutes during Tuesday's win against South Alabama. Holmes had 15 of his 23 points and six of his nine rebounds in the second half.

LAMMERT'S IMPROVEMENT
• Sophomore forward Connor Lammert is averaging 9.0 points (fourth on team) and 6.5 rebounds (third on team) in 19.0 minutes per contest while hitting 8-of-11 (.727) field goals, including 2-of-3 threes, through the first two games. By comparison, Lammert averaged 4.5 points and 4.2 rebounds in 21.0 minutes per game while hitting 48.1 percent from the floor (64-of-133) and 23.9 percent from three-point range (11-of-46) last year.

NON-CONFERENCE HOME SUCCESS AGAINST UNRANKED OPPONENTS
During the Rick Barnes era, the Longhorns have posted a 104-5 (.954) record in non-conference home games against unranked (AP) teams. Texas has won 42 consecutive home games against unranked non-conference opponents entering Friday's game against Stephen F. Austin. The last time UT lost to an unranked (AP) team at the Erwin Center came in a 67-66 defeat to Wisconsin on Dec. 29, 2007.

The Longhorns have registered an all-time record of 436-102 (.810) in the building.
Since Rick Barnes arrived in Austin, UT has recorded a 211-30 (.876) mark at the Erwin Center including a 99-23 (.811) record in Big 12 Conference home games.
Texas is 105-14 (.882) at the Erwin Center in the last seven seasons (dating to the start of the 2006-07 season).
CRUNCH TIME
In each of its first two contests, Texas has faced significant deficits in the second half in the final 11 minutes. From that point in both games, the Longhorns have outscored their opponents, 54-32, and have shot .525 (21-for-40) from the field, while outrebounding the opposition by 9.5 rpg. Against Mercer in its season opener, UT trailed by nine points with 9:44 remaining before putting together a 23-11 run to spur them to a 76-73 victory. On Tuesday against South Alabama, the Longhorns found themselves in a 17-point hole in the first half (1:28) and once again battled back. Trailing by 10 with 11:51 to go, Texas used a 30-13 spurt en route to the win.
