Longhorn Network to televise 27 Texas Softball games

LHN's coverage will commence Wednesday, Feb. 12, at 7 p.m. Central when the Longhorns take on UTSA at McCombs Field.
AUSTIN, Texas - Longhorn Network, the 24/7 University of Texas network, announced on Wednesday that it will exclusively televise 27 Texas Softball games from Feb. 12 through May 11.
LHN's coverage will commence Wednesday, Feb. 12, at 7 p.m. Central as the Longhorns take on UTSA at Red & Charline McCombs Field.
The Longhorns concluded the 2013 season ranked No. 3 in both the USA TODAY/NFCA and ESPN.com/USA Softball final polls with a record of 51-10 and reached the Women's College World Series for the fifth time in program history.
Entering the 2014 campaign, the Longhorns are ranked No. 10 in both national Division I Top 25 preseason polls. It is the ninth time in the last 10 years Texas Softball has been ranked in both major preseason polls to start a season. UT welcomes seven freshmen and returns 12 letterwinners, including six starting position players from last year's team.
