LONG BEACH STATE SERIES HISTORY:

• The Horns own a slim 4-3 lead in the all-time series that dates back to a 76-71 win by Long Beach State on Nov. 24, 1978 in Long Beach.
• Texas registered a 92-76 win in Austin on Dec. 6, 1980. LBSU posted an 83-63 home win on Dec. 10, 1983. The Horns answered with an 86-62 victory in Austin on Dec. 8, 1984 and recorded a 117-86 win in Long Beach on Dec. 14, 1988.
• Lucious Harris hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to lead the 49ers to an 89-87 victory in Austin on Dec. 14, 1989.
• In the most recent meeting (Dec. 7, 2009), six UT players reached double figures in scoring as the Horns posted a 107-74 win in Austin.
Notables
• DOMINATING THE GLASS: Through games of Dec. 16, the Longhorns lead the nation in rebound margin at +15.9 (45.6-29.7). UT has outrebounded its opponents in nine of its first 10 games and posted double-digit rebound margins in eight of its first 10 contests. Texas registered a +27 (55-28) advantage on the glass in Tuesday's win against Lipscomb.
• HORNS GET OFFENSIVE: UT topped the 100-point mark in Tuesday's 106-61 victory against Lipscomb for the first time since Nov. 15, 2011. Texas hit 53.8% from the floor, including 12-of-24 (.500) from three-point range, and had 24 assists against just nine turnovers.
• TURNER KEEPS IMPROVING: Freshman forward Myles Turner had a season-high 26 points (9-of-15 FG, 7-of-7 FT), nine boards and six blocks in 23 minutes on Tuesday against Lipscomb. He leads the team in scoring (12.5 ppg) and blocks (31) and ranks third in rebounding (7.0 rpg) in just 20.3 mpg through the first 10 contests.

• UT is currently in its 38th season of play at the Frank Erwin Center.
• Texas has won 14 consecutive home games dating back to last season entering Saturday's contest.
• The Longhorns have registered an all-time record of 456-104 (.814) in the building.
• Since Rick Barnes arrived in Austin, UT has recorded a 231-32 (.878) mark at the Erwin Center, including a 107-24 (.817) record in Big 12 Conference home games.
