• HOLMES NEARS 1,000 POINTS: Senior forward Jonathan Holmes enters Saturday's game just ONE point shy of reaching the 1,000-point mark in his career. He will become the 34th player in UT history to reach the milestone.
• TURNER OFF TO SOLID START: Freshman forward Myles Turner leads the team in blocks (35) and is second in scoring (12.0 ppg) and tied for second in rebounding (6.7 rpg). He posted a team-high 16 points in his first career start against Rice on Monday.

• Since Rick Barnes arrived in Austin prior to the 1998-99 season, the Longhorns have emerged as the dominant college basketball program in the state of Texas.
